Super Heavy Duty

This thing is engineered like a tank (yes, I’m an engineer). Really heavy duty construction and very clever design. It comes with expansion bolts to attach it to the floor, but save those for another use…this thing will NOT move if installed properly. The instructions are poorly translated garbage, but there are minimal (and obvious) steps to putting it together. One warning though…be sure to double check the three bolts that attach each armrest to the frame. They are on the underside of the armrests, and the back one can be really hard to tighten after the thing is in place. My only complaint is that the thing (the legs and armrests) stick out quite a ways from the front of the toilet, making it awkward to get my wheelchair into the “little room” where my toilet is (and where all toilets belong!). This probably could not be altered, however, without completely redesigning the whole thing. Since the armrests fold up and out of the way, this little bit of inconvenience can be lived with. Overall, this thing is terrific compared to my old, shaky aluminum handrails.

Sturdy….excellent quality

These safety assist toilet Rails are very sturdy and well made…it was easy to assemble and set.up…we got it for my elderly mother to help her maintain some independence in the bathroom…this safety rail really make is easier for her to lower herself as well as stand back up….it fits well around the toilet and has a good look because everything is white and matches the bathroom well…its a good quality product

simple, adjustable, yet super sturdy and stable

This is a great for those who have elders in the house who has hard time getting up or sitting down by themselves, which also makes it difficult to use the toilet. It’s easily adjustable to fit any toilet for any height and it’s super sturdy and stable once in place. It’s very easy to put it together and I appreciate the height adjustable armrest as well as ability to fold up the armrest so it doesn’t get in the way to the sink or tub, depending on the bathroom layout. The non-ski footings is nice touch and the armrests can withstand up to 500lbs of weight to support any individual. Very impressive and good quality material. Easily 5 out of 5 stars!

Works great. Sturdy and holds a lot of weight.

Actually very easy to set up, apart from the recommended anchor screws. I personally didn’t put them in as I found the “grip” bars to be sturdy enough, but I recommend following the directions of course. The arms raise high enough to make it easy for a 6’4″ person to lower themselves. The arms also conveniently fold up so they are out of the way when not in use.

Unbelievably simple to assemble, extremely stable, one of the best safety items I’ve ever seen

If I could give it a ten star rating I would. This is simply the best bathroom safety device I’ve ever seen. It was extremely easy to assemble (despite the nearly unusable instructions), once installed properly surrounding a toilet it is extremely stable, the arm height is fully adjustable and stable if done correctly, the arms can lock in either the up or down position, the finish on all parts was perfect (no dings/scratches/etc), easily supports me and my 220 body and it even looks good. Do ya get the idea that I like this device? I have limited mobility after two major back surgeries. I can lift myself by using my arm but I can’t just stand straight up without some sort of assistance or something to let me use my arm strength. This device makes getting on the toilet and getting off the toilet easy. I did not use the screws to hold it to the floor as it is extremely stable once the arms that grab the toilet are tightened (don’t over-tighten, it’s not necessary). As a Vine program member, I’ve ordered approx 400 items – this is the singularly best item I’ve ever gotten. If you need help getting on or off a toilet, this is great. Highly, highly recommended.

Convenient but doesn’t fit shorter toilets very well

Let’s start with all the good. This is actually a really nice piece of hardware, the finish and everything was done well and it looks really good. It is sturdy, well designed and easy to assemble. The armrests have quite a bit of variance for adjustment, making it easy for just about any height of person to use. This is a solid piece of furniture, there is no cheap thin metal being used around this thing and all the surfaces a finished will making cleaning easier. It does offer good support and it does seem very sturdy.Now the not as good. These seem to be designed for a taller toilet. It still works, but for my toilet the cross bar does not go below the bowl as pictured. Maybe it is not supposed to and I am assuming that, but I would have though it should sit a little further back than it does. With the armrests ability to fold up, it is not a huge deal, but it would have looked nicer if it would have been tucked back in there a little more.Overall, I do think this is nice device that is extremely helpful, it is definitely not the cheapest one on the market, but it does seem to be one of the more sturdy and safe ones.

Okay for some but not others

Hello Friends, I selected this toilet safety rail system for an elderly person.This unit is well made and secure. There are just two flaws.  One is if you do not have the space on the sides of the toilet for the rail system it is not going to fit.  It takes up the space of and access to a toilet roll holder, plunge and brush cleaner as well.  Two, if a person is heavier set they might not fit in between the rails or if they do they might take it up with them.  It makes it had to use toilet paper versus a bidet.  If they push from the ends they can tilt the whole unit.  It needs weights in the back to avoid this.  It is easy to clean in that you can move it into a shower and hose it down with cleanser and a shower sprayer.

Make sure it’ll fit but it works awesome

So the toilet this was going on is close to walls and with the arms this was a tight fit into the toilet room (it’s how the house was built). Fairly easy to put together without help but do follow directions. It’s sturdy and holds well and does what it’s needed for without any problems.

Simple to assemble

Though to actually install this the way it was meant to be installed, one should attach the rails to the floor. The necessary parts to do that are included.Without attaching it to the floor, I would say it is stable enough for someone who isn’t 100% relying on the rails to sit and stand. If you just would like something there to help you if you need something to hold while sitting or standing, this might be just what you need without screwing it to the floor. But there is a fair amount of wobble/wiggle without installing it fully to the floor.This toilet rail is very sturdy, very well made, I have no worries that it will bend with use. The arm rests do raise if you want them out of your way. They are also adjustable in height which is very nice for different height users.The instruction manual leaves a lot to be desired, parts of the printing are printed over each other, so there is no way to read what is being said. Other sections make no sense at all. And the entire manual is printed in such small font it is next to impossible to read. And to make it even harder, the print is very light in color.The saving grace is that it is pretty easy to figure out how to put it together without the instructions.I would suggest if you think you are going to need toilet safety rails for someone who is dependent on them holding them while standing or sitting, first look at your bathroom floor. If you need to attach the rails to the floor for safety, what type of flooring do you have? Drilling through ceramic tile is challenging to not damage the tiles. You might need someone with tile knowledge to help you.

Sturdy enough

I got this for my mother in law to use since she is aging. It is not too hard to put together and it helps you sit down slowly and allows you to pull yourself up. It is pretty sturdy for an average sized woman.

A very, very solid, high-quality set of toilet safety rails for the very heavy individual …

I’ve assembled a wide variety of bathroom assistive devices from potties to rails. Some of these claim to be for individuals who weigh from 300 to 500+ pounds, but just won’t hold them. Period. This particular set of toilet safety rails is for the very heavy individual who needs that extra assistance while toileting. The components are a very solid steel, which will support a lot of weight. This is the second set of rails I’ve gotten. The first went to an individual who weighed more than 400 pounds.This particular set of safety rails has a single sheet instructional that’s not the greatest. It relies more on visuals than anything. The rails don’t take long to assemble and set up around a toilet. This particular set of railings will be donated to another disabled individual so I didn’t set it up completely around my toilet. If you do have a small bathroom, which I do, this set of railings may be a tight fit.There’s not a lot of padding on the railings, but they are textured. They are working very well for the person who is using the railings. I do like the fact that they can be locked in place, if so desired. Comparatively, I feel that with the solid, high-quality components, this set of railings is reasonably priced at just under $140. It’s less expensive than the other one I had. Before purchasing, take a close look at photographs of some less expensive rails to get an idea of what you want or don’t want.

Once put together it works as advertised.

The product works well and looks professional but putting it together was a problem. The screw holes were not properly sized for the screws with knobs. I could not put it together myself. My son-in-law came over and with brute strength was able to set the screws properly. Once we got them in, we were able remove them and to make adjustments without a problem. There are four of the screws with knobs and all four were a problem. Therefore, four stars.

Sturdy

Got this for my 98 year old grandma. It makes getting up from the toilet so much easier and safer. I also like that it does not need any permanent installment. It pushes against the base of the toilet and could be removed and put back anytime.

Solid handles for support

Poor quality

Poor quality, I’m wondering if mine was used. Looked like they sprayed it. There is paint inside day of the dye holes for bolts making threading impossible. Will return.
